18th October 2013 saw the third annual gathering of Chancellor’s Circle members at Rhodes House, Oxford.
Sir Menzies Campbell CBE QC MP, the Chancellor of the University of St Andrews and the President of the Chancellor's Circle, was unfortunately not able to be present, but in his absence the 38 guests from across the South of England were welcomed by Robert Fleming, Director of Development. Robert spoke about the importance of legacy giving, not only to the University itself, but also to those alumni and families who choose to remember St Andrews in this way. After a delightful afternoon tea, Professor Robert Bartlett, Bishop Wardlaw Professor of Mediaeval History at St Andrews, delivered a very well-received lecture on the topic of universities in the mediaeval world.
